I’m often amazed at how stovepiped the thinking is when it comes to veterans and the problems they can develop years after returning home. Psychiatrists & physicians want it all to be physical malady, VA psychologists think of it as a “mental” problem, and religious or spiritual leaders think of it as a “getting right with God” problem. I don’t care much for the scare quotes around moral injury, but the rest of the article does highlight the importance of an integrated approach. Worth a read.
